Few people are as synonymous with Bangkok as Jim Thompson, the American expat who helped revive the Thai silk weaving industry during the mid-20th century. So what better way to get a feel for Thai history, architecture, and crafts than with a tour of Jim Thompson’s tranquil enclave of six teak houses in the center of Bangkok? You’ll discover a treasure trove of priceless artifacts and local arts. Our experienced local guides will then take you on a tour of the Baan Krua Nua silk-weaving community, one of Bangkok’s oldest communities, and home to the last remaining producer of hand-woven Thai silk.
